In today's world of computing, viruses are a growing problem.  New viruses are created every day and new techniques for curing these viruses are updated on a regular basis.  The first line of defense against these viruses is a solid antivirus program.

Norton Antivirus is a solid performer with top notch virus detection.  Version 2005 also goes as far as to check for adware.  You should set your program to automatically check for virus definition updates whenever you are online.  It is also a good idea to schedule a daily scan of your system. You should also purchase each yearly program update (do not pay to keep your subscription to last year's version) to keep up on all of the latest virus detection technology.
